University of Verona
In collaboration with the University of Verona and the “Orfeo” Research Center, Philosophica-Pólemos took place at the magnificent Villa Meriggio in Valeggio sul Mincio, a cycle of eight meetings which offered the opportunity to listen to some prestigious voices from the Italian philosophical panorama on a specific theme. For this first series, the theme of the Pólemos conflict was addressed in all its facets.

The curator of the Cultural Salotti, an initiative aimed at promoting and disseminating art and literature to inspire and develop critical thinking and reflection.

Ettore Fagiuoli, Pier Alberto Porceddu Cilione and Tommaso Tuppini, together with Alessandra Pacilli, take care of and develop all intellectual and philosophical initiatives.

MERIGGIO TORTELLO
“Eating is an emotion on the plate” says Nadia Pasquali. A determined and creative chef, she explains her philosophy and her beliefs: she aims to enhance the typical and topical product with her menus, satisfying the territory from an ethical point of view and the customer from an aesthetic point of view.
Nadia Pasquali, chef of the Alla Borsa restaurant in Valeggio sul Mincio, creates the "Love Knot" inspired by one of the works of art present in the Villa, watch the video and discover the ingredients used by the chef!

The Sistine Chapel revisited by Jorge R. Pombo
A project supported by Villa Meriggio which led to the presence of two important works inside the historic residence: "Ascension of the Soul, Michelangelo's Variation" and "The Creation of Adam, Michelangelo's Variation". The “Last Judgment”, which has achieved enormous success, is preparing to travel around the world as early as 2024.

AIPRO.STO.B - BASSO FOUNDATION
Sammy launches an appeal to support the development of a promising therapy aimed at combating not only progeria, but also other genetic diseases. Its mission is to ensure a better future for those who suffer, offering hope and support in the search for a definitive cure.

OUR MUSICIANS
Villa Meriggio has hosted prominent names in the musical world, mentioning just a few: Sergio Virgilio Baietta, the founders of the Amadeus Academy Valentina Fornari and Alberto Nosè, the Ottodix Ensamble and Jozef F. Pjetri.

GALLERIES, ARTS, COLLECTABLES
To promote and support artistic excellence, Villa Meriggio actively collaborates with art galleries, emerging and established artists, such as those who are part of the Ethical Art Movement, Lucio Pozzi. Many works are now an essential part of the beautiful Art Nouveau architecture.

VENICE BIENNIALE
Villa Meriggio held the press conference with the previews of the Cameroon Pavilion at the 60th edition of the International Contemporary Art Fair Biennale di Venezia 2024, conceived and curated by Sandro Orlandi Stagl, also curator of the Salotti del Meriggio.
The “Amici del Meriggio” project was born from the profound desire to apply and give voice to the philosophy of Villa Meriggio. An open group of artists, collectors, musicians, poets, writers, philosophers, directors, producers, scientists, designers, entrepreneurs, chefs, professors and in general people who want to enrich this wonderful place outside of space and time, leaving the their precious and unique contribution, describing beauty and excellence.
Massimo Cacciari
Massimo Cacciari, nei suoi scritti, eredita la tradizione greca e la filosofia heideggeriana, approfondendo il concetto di verità come enigma e tensione irrisolta. La verità non è mai un possesso definitivo, ma una continua ricerca e un costante differimento. Nella nostra epoca, segnata dalla crisi della verità e dalla sfiducia nelle certezze assolute, Cacciari non cade nel nichilismo relativista. Al contrario, vede nell'essere sfuggente della verità uno stimolo alla riflessione, al confronto e al perpetuo interrogarsi. In un tempo di sovraccarico informativo e verità apparenti, l'invito che ci fa a riconoscere la verità come un continuo svelarsi e nascondersi risulta più che mai attuale.
